why can i never be normal around popcorn
I cant share - i NEED my own bowl. You NEED to cut me off from your popcorn. When I make a big bowl for myself I think "i will eat this at a reasonable pace! I'll have popcorn for the next hour!" and I shovel it in my face till it's all gone, I've stopped doing whatever it is I was doing, devoting 100% of my attention to the popcorn, and yes i am sad when it's all gone

Tests Found- C.S
Tumblr media
summary: Nick and Matt find out Y/n and Chris are having a baby, but not the way Y/n and Chris intended to.
cw: none? just cursing
masterlist | positive masterlist
-----------------------------------------------
five weeks pregnant
It had been about two weeks since Y/n and Chris found out they were expecting a baby. Ever since that day Chris stayed over at Y/n's apartment every other day. Nick and Matt haven't been suspicious at all. Y/n and Chris wanted to keep it private just until Y/n had reached her second trimester to make sure everything was fine with their baby. However, it didn't go as planned.
"Hi, babe. We're here." Chris speaks into the phone as he calls Y/n. He doesn't ring her buzzer anymore because it now annoys her. "Ok, I'll buzz you in." She softly speaks. She gets up off the couch and goes towards the door to buzz the boys in. After a couple of seconds, she lets it go. She unlocks the door, and heads back to her spot on the couch.
Chris, Matt and Nick, all head up to the fifth floor where her apartment is. Matt thought of the idea for all four of them to hangout since Matt and Nick haven't seen Y/n ever since she picked them up from the airport. Which was a little over three weeks ago. Both Nick and Matt became really close to Y/n after her and Chris had been dating for two months. They both thought of her as a sister as soon as Chris told them she was the one seven months into their relationship.
"Hellooo!" Chris says as soon as he opens her front door. "I'm in the living room." He hears her say. He quickly takes his shoes off and speeds off to her before his brothers get to her. "Hi, baby." He leans down and gives her a kiss on the lips. He looks then left to see that his brothers are struggling to take their shoes off. "Hi, babe." She says with a smile. "How our little apple seed, hm?" Ever since last week, Chris has been looking up how big their baby is and what it's compared to. "They're fine, made me throw up my toast with butter, but I feel fine now." He frowns, and sits next to her. "Hopefully your morning sickness goes down-" He gets cut off by Nicks loud voice.
"Y/n! Im here too." Nick sounds offended as she only pays attention to Chris. "Hi, Nick. I was waiting for you, did it really take you two that long to get your shoes off?" Y/n gets up and hugs Nick, then Matt. "I tied them to tight."
"How have you been?" Matt sits down on the smaller couch. "Good, I've just been staying home really. You?" Y/n places her head on Chris' shoulder. "Same, just stayin' home." He says. "So, what are our plans?" Nick asks. "Lunch, shopping, dinner, come back here and watch some movies?" Matt replies looks at the three of them. "Sounds good."
The four of them stay in the living room for half an hour until they're ready to go. "Y/n do you have one of those tooth flossers?" Nick asks, picking at his teeth from the popcorn he had found in her pantry. "Yeah, they're in my bathroom under my sink somewhere." Nick gets up and heads to her room. "Wait for me, I need one too." Matt gets up and follows Nick.
"Have you made an appointment?" Chris asks Y/n once Matt and Nick are out of earshot. "Yeah! We have it a week from now." She says excitedly. "Okay, what time so I can clear my schedule." Y/n pulls her phone out to check her email for all of the details.
In Y/n's bathroom, Nick is searching all over her bathroom cabinets. "How does she have so many cabinets in here?" He closes one door just to open another one. "Umm, Matt? Can you help?" He sees Matt fixing his hair in the mirror. "She clearly said the one under the sink." Matt crouches down and open the one under the sink. While Nick searches the other ones. Matt digs around in the cabinet and comes across what they were looking for. "Found them." He gets up and dangles the bag in front of Nicks face.
"Well, open it up!" Nick yells motioning to the bag. "Here." Matt hands Nick one and grabs one for himself before putting it back. As he puts them back where they were, some stuff falls out of the cabinet on to the floor. "Fuck." He says. As he looks to see what fell Nick gasps when he sees what it is. "Oh my god!" He whisper yells and closes the bathroom door fast. "What?" He looks at Nick and back to what fell on the floor. "Oh my god!" He says. Matt picks them up and places all four onto the counter. "Are they positive?" Nick says with his hand placed over his mouth, the flosser long forgotten.
"I'm not sure, kinda scared to check." Matt says, tossing his flosser in the trash. "I'll check." Nick leans over them and examines them. "Holy shit." He turns to Matt. "Are they?" Nick nods. "Oh my god." Matt whispers. "Do you think they're her tests?" Nick asks. "No duh. They're in her bathroom."
"Should we call her in?" Matt nods. In the living room, Y/n sends Chris all the details about their upcoming appointment until she hears Nicks voice. "I'll be back. I don't think they found them." She walks towards the bathroom and sees the two of them standing in front of the sink. "Did you guys find them?" She asks. "Yes but," Nick closes the door behind her before he finishes talking. "We found something else." Matt grabs the tests by the white part and shoes Y/n as if she's never seen them before. "Oh," Her heart drops. "Are you pregnant?" Nick whispers.
Y/n nods. "Does Chris know?" Matt asks curiously. "Yeah." She looks between them two nervous about their reactions. Matt places the tests carefully on the counter and goes to Y/n to hug her. "Congrats, Kid."
"Make some room for me!" Nick smiles and joins in on their hug. "Now I kinda feel bad." Y/n pulls away a couple of seconds later. "What? Why?" Nick says. "Chris was excited to tell you guys in a fun way." Matt frowns.
The door opens and Chris comes in. "What's going on?" He says. "They found the tests." Y/n says and his mouth turns into an 'O'. "Surprise?" He says. "Chris you're going to be a DAD!" Matt says and goes to hug him and Nick follows behind. "How'd you guys find out?" Matt asks. Looking at the couple with a smile on his face. "I was sick for like weeks, still am though. But, Chris noticed I was late for my period and he went and bought the tests and I took them, and obviously they were positive."
"When did this happen?" Nick adds on. "Right before we left for Boston, the night before act-" Nick gasps. "Not when the baby was conceived you sicko! I mean when did you guys find out?" He swats Chris' arm. "we found out two weeks after you guys had came back. So I'm five weeks right now."
"We were going to tell you guys after the first trimester. But, you guys just had to ask for a damn flosser." Chris was pretty bummed, he wanted to tell them in a special way, and he wanted it captured on video. He had wanted to tell them with a blindfold challenge and him and Y/n would give them baby stuff to try and guess until he would hand them the pregnancy test. "I had popcorn in my teeth! Still do!" Nick yells.
Forty minutes later, they're now at lunch. "I still can't believe Y/n is pregnant." Nick picks at his food. "Me either!" Y/n sips her water. "How big is the baby? Do you know?" Matt says, across from Chris. "The size of a fucking apple seed! That's crazy like, an apple seed is tiny." Chris brings his thumb and pointer finger together to match the size of an apple seed. "That's crazy." Matt and Nick both say, Y/n laughs.
"Have you guys told anyone else?" Nick suddenly asks. Y/n shakes her head and Chris responds. "No, you guys are the first to know. Like we said, we were waiting for the first trimester to end to make sure everything was right with the baby."
"Can we go baby shopping?" Nick says.

So, this week's episode...
Tumblr media
[Spoilers below cut]
I'm absolutely terrified, it's not even funny. I can't even click it. But I have to... for the LOREEEEEEEEE... okay, let's-a go....
(The following is my live reaction:)
ay the TADC plug, of course
Tumblr media
"Born to shit, Forced to wipe" - not smg3
wise words Three
also, the Ferris Wheel and rollercoaster thing is still there in the background (Ferris Wheel wedding, my beloved...)
I knew someone was going to bring up Meggy and her disappearance
Tumblr media Tumblr media
LEGGY! MEGGY, WE'LL RESCUE YOU I PROMISE!!!
THANK YOU THREE for asking the right questions here
oh... not what I expected. at least the crew knows this is obviously Mr Puzzles
NAME DROP
Tumblr media Tumblr media
OK, a LOT to digest here:
These are all the possible minigames that we might see in WOTFI. Well, at least all the attractions we could see...
a Mr Puzzles Chonk plush (in the bottom right)
a Tunnel of Love attraction... hmmmm.......
Huh, I didn't know this was by the coast of the Mushroom Kingdom. Or it could be an island/peninsula.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The what now, Leggy?
YEP I knew that once they found out, they would want to leave
...and of course, Mario wants to stay
Tumblr media
Yeah, Luigi said it himself
but also, look at the Mr Puzzles cardboard cutout in the back, he's wearing Meggy's cowboy hat from Western Spaghetti
Alright, but before we go in, we gotta have a buddy system, guys
Tumblr media
All these critiques are going to make Mr Puzzles lose himself even more than he already is
Tumblr media
I think I saw someone posted about submitting a water gun game so congrats for getting in!
Leggy Plush!!
also spider-man plush... symbiote... venom... GOOP!4????
Tumblr media
...Once Upon A Perfect SMG4?
[*points at Four and Mario*] The sillies
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
ok, but like, why is Three smiling like that while everyone else looks so disappointed?
They did the buddy system!
Bob: "Those dumbasses will see ANYTHING and get excited."
I feel seen and I don't like it.
Tumblr media
I don't like this either. I already know this is a trap but like noooooo
Three just standing there like a dad watching over his kid
Someone else also submitted a mini-game involving a ducky fishing game
Tumblr media
GOD DAYUM.... why did you have to pose like that, Three? You're not beating the allegations, huh.
Aw, Three really wanted to enjoy a carnival if Mr Puzzles wasn't involved (writers, write that down + carnival dates)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
OK NOPE WE NEED TO GET OUT OF HERE NOW
Tumblr media
🫵 🏳️‍🌈⁉️
oh c'mon now, it's just plainly obvious. Not that it should be surprising, everyone's part of the skittle squad (tm)
STRONG WOMEN we love to see it
Tumblr media
...that can't be a real thing... can it?
same Luigi same
Tumblr media
YES PLEASE CAN WE?
Tumblr media
sorry dude, they really locked in
also what the hell is that building in the back?
Tumblr media
Luigi (or rather the SMG4 fandom): "See? I can handle this! I'm not afraid anymore! Do you hear me? I'm not afraid-" [*horror jumpscare*] [*scream*]
NOT EVEN MELONY'S GOD POWERS COULD HELP US, WE'RE FUCKED
NOOOOOO NOT KAREN AND SAIKO
THREE WE NEED TO LEAVE NOW
NOOOOOOOO THREEEEE I THOUGHT HE WAS GOING TO BE THE LAST ONE TO MAKE IT OUT
[*sobbing*] he sent one last text to warn them :( he really does care
AND HE SENT IT TO FOUR [*head in hands*]
the contact names they have for each other.... (I'm not well)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
WE GOTTA GO [*runs*] GET OUT GET OUT
Leggy... why did your face change like that?
WHAT WAS THAT CRYPTIC CAPTION?!
Mario, please don't sacrifice yourself... oh, thank god! They really are having me panicking for the smallest things
wait... OMG THEY SAW MY SUBMISSION! THEY SAW IT!
Tumblr media
the mini-game challenge that I submitted:
Pop & Whirl: Everyone gets a bag of popcorn. The winner must keep all of their popped kernels in their bag, without dropping a single one... while being chased around the carnival by a collapsed Ferris Wheel (Professor Layton style)!
I DON'T CARE IF IT DOESN'T HAPPEN AGAIN IN WOTFI, I'LL TAKE IT. But if it does happen, I'll draw lawyer Meggy with a redesigned Ace Attorney-esque outfit (somehow)
please don't tell me the green pipe is also a trap...
...the exit door from TADC?
oh god, why does this remind me of the dark web?
and the eyes on the mushrooms... [*IGBP flashbacks*]
heh heh, funny mirrors... AH SHIT PUZZLES, DON'T JUMPSCARE ME LIKE THAT
actually, now that I think of it, Mr Puzzles hasn't revealed himself this whole time...
THE DIDNEY ENGINE ROOM?!
Tumblr media
...holy shit
so was I right about us getting to see Mr Puzzles' "truest form" and the whole "Eye of Ra" thing?
are those his arms? and the circle things, it could be part of his cyborg texture but they also look like eyes.
the fog part is really interesting because they could've gone with any "spooky" color but they chose this. It's the creative vision, the one Didney had in this room.
This really reminds me of the goo from IGBP and Wren's wire simulation in Western Spaghetti, but also from this angle, a bit of Zero's "no legs" body design.
"His obsession becoming his identity" - Puzzles connected himself to the single star Didney had. You got it right, past Ink.
Tumblr media
HUH?! YOU CAN'T END IT THERE
AND THEY GRAY-ED OUT OUTRO, NO MUSIC! IT'S ABOUT TO GO DOWN, GUYS
also congrats to Nikej1708241 for making it to the credits 🎉
.・-: ✧ :--: ✧ :-・.
That was a pretty solid episode ngl. Probably not as "plot twist-y"
(i know that's not a word) as the previous episode but my spaghetti gods, it delivered! Not Marty again, we may have to rethink this one.
Ok, I've made a list of all the attractions and mini-games there are in the carnival grounds in Puzzle Park:
Ferris Wheel
"Tender Tunnel" (Tunnel of Love attraction)
Merry-Go-Round carousel
Basketball arcade game
Hammer game
Bumper Cars
"House of Crazy" funhouse (also that fits Mr Puzzles somehow)
A spooky cart ride
Water gun game
Rocket ride
Arcade (just flat-out an arcade)
Clown Ball Game
(There's apparently a cafe???)
Ducky Pond fishing game
Pizza shop (....marty?)
It's probably not all of them, we would just have to wait and see, but if you submitted a mini-game that involves any of these, congrats, you likely got in!!!
I still very much enjoyed this episode and some of what I theorized could possibly come true. And some didn't, which is totally okay with me. I'll cherish the Ferris Wheel chase scene regardless :)
We still have to wait for a trailer or a special video in regards to WOTFI, which I will have to analyze and see what's to be expected. From the looks of it in this episode, it seems like it's up to SMG4 and Mario to rescue their friends one by one by completing the mini-games. The more people they rescue, the more help they can get to complete the games. And that includes saving Meggy at the end.
Now, personally, I don't want Mr Puzzles to die. Not yet. There is still a lot of potential that could go for him. A similar redemption arc just as Three went through. Puzzlevision 2. Goop!4. Marty. Anything could happen. Then again, he could die.
Now you might think he might not die because he has a plushie, but there's literally merch of Axol and Desti and they're dead. Puzzles isn't safe from this possibility.
Put in your final bets, my dear fellows, because nothing will ever be the same again...

one messed up bat .4
Dc masterlist
Batfam x reader x Jason eventually
Summary: The batboys sticking close to y/n
Warnings: self harm, self hate, angst, short sorry
A/N: I do not own dc
Tumblr media
"Let's take a little trip around the room and you can tell me where all the sharp things are, or, you can be moved to an unused room and only come in here with supervision," Dick said with his hands on his hips.
"It'd be faster to move rooms, after all I have vigilante stuff in here too."
"I was afraid you'd say that, alright well, grab your pillow and anything else you need. Phone charger or whatever. I'm gonna lock the door when you're done and I will have to let you in-"
"This is ridiculous all my games and books and stuff are in here, not to mention my sewing supplies." (because I said so you now know how to sew, Y/n designs leather goods, handbags, fancy wallets etc. and has dreams of people actually knowing they exist)
"I didn't know you sewed," Tim said looking up from his phone to take in her room.
"I've had a machine sitting in the corner for years now, I thought you were supposed to be smart," she said walking over just so she could flick his ear.
"Hey, ow, I thought it was just girly decoration?"
"I suppose to giant shelf of supplies next to it is also decor," she asked with her head tilted.
"Sewing shears are sharp as hell, no way are you allowed around them without somebody's eyes glued to you," Jason said holding a pair of Italian knifes edge shears.
"Hey put those down they were three-hundred-bucks!" He nearly dropped them at her shout but caught them and set them gently back in their case.
"For scissors," Dick asked in disbelief.
"They could cut your arm off. They're Italian and I love them more than I love any of you."
"You're sleeping in a different room but you can be in her during the day, with one of us here."
She rolled her eyes but kept her mouth shut, whatever he needed to tell himself but she knew how this was gonna go. They'd say they were gonna take shifts, but stuff would come up, they would get bored. Tired of following her to the bathroom and sitting outside awkwardly. She'd be a good little pet, keep her skin clear of even a bruise from bumping into something and they would get complacent and lazy, checking up on her once a day. She gave it two weeks before they were leaving her alone again, and a month before they couldn't be under the same roof anymore and she only had to deal with Tim, easy the kid slept and drank coffee, and Damian who she could distract.
"Fine, anyone up for a snack?"
They nodded and she led the way to the kitchen, it was well into the night so it was dark aside from a few motion sensor lights she'd put in herself. (after the boys had said every curse word under the sun from bumping into stuff) She pulled out some chips and the other grabs various foods and drinks.
"We eating in here or you wanna go watch a movie?"
"Movie,"Tim answered starting to pour himself a cup of coffee.
"If you drink that at this hour-in fact if you drink any caffeine after four pm I'll start breaking picture frames to cut myself with the glass," she said snatching the cup from him and dumping it down the drain.
"Oh my God," Dick gasped dropping the bag of popcorn he'd just taken from the microwave.
"But...my coffee," Tim whispered looking at the drain like she'd just flushed his stash.
"Me no slashy you no caffey," she said pulling him into a hug. His arms came around her quickly and held her to him tight enough to make her back crack but neither of them moved. Her eyes welled with tears from the comfort and she tried to pull away but he held on.
"If you don't let me go I'm gonna cry," she warned.
"Go for it, you deserve it."
"If I start I won't stop."
"Oh, Y/n," Jason and Dick said in unison putting down their loot to add their arms to the hug. She was fully surrounded, encased in shear muscle, Tim's arms around her ribs and hands on her back. Dick's arms on top of his more hugging Tim than her but it was fine. Jason's arms were circled completely around her waist and they all took turns placing kisses on her hair. The need to cry and the urge to get away battled inside her but the only way out was teleportation.
"We love you," Dick said finally backing off.
"I second that," Jason said also stepping away.
"Thirdsies," Tim said stepping back to grab her face in his hands. "If you don't want me to drink coffee I won't drink it."
"Nice try, I said caffeine, energy drinks and tea included."
"Damn."
The moment passed they all grabbed their stuff again and headed to the theater room. A half hour into the movie she was the only one awake and she rolled her eye at the predictability, she started to sneak out of the room but Damian came in and snuggled up on her lap in the reclining seat she was in. (picture the Lego Batman seats the red velvet cushy looking ones)
"Tt, so pathetic they couldn't even be trusted to watch you for one night. He was so cute in his little batman pajamas she couldn't help but laugh at him squishing his face in her hands.
"Good thing I have you to look after me then huh?" He batted her hands away like and angry cat and grabbed the remote to change the tv, putting on old cartoon reruns instead. Dick was snoring like a freight train and she felt guilty for keeping him up so late, poor guy hadn't slept since birth. Tim was talking in his sleep something about mergers and 'no you can't sit there you little twat' he watched way too much British tv. Jason was silent and still as the dead next to her on hand stretched out in her direction as if he was offering her a lifeline even in his sleep.
@stormz369 sorry love forgot 😘

Magneto's Kids
Chapter 7
Wanda is by far the smartest of Erik's children so, of course, she has all honors classes, which means she has to study a lot. The week before a test she'll lock herself in her room with her notes and books. She refuses to come out for anything, so Erik put a mini fridge in her room so she wouldn't starve. Her brothers are always trying to get her to take a break but of course, she stubbornly refuses.
"Come on you've been stuck in that room for four days" Pietro started knocking on the door.
"Go away I'm trying to study" Wanda shouted as she grabbed another book. Pietro started knocking on the door at super speed for about an hour before he got tired and gave up. Peter's eyes shone as he got an idea.
"You know, I saw this thing where this guy moved his molecules fast he could phase throw walls" Pietro rolled his eyes.
"Was this in one of your comic books?" Peter nodded walking back from the door. "You realize this is never going to work" but Peter was already darting for the wall in less than the blink of an eye he crashed into the wall leaving a good-sized hole.
"PETER!!!!!!" Wanda's eyes turned red as her hands balled up into fists. 'That's not a good sign' Peter thought as he was surrounded by red energy.
"Wanda please just calm down I can explain" A blue streak darted past and in two seconds Pietro had placed the restraint bracelets on Wanda.
"Okay here's the deal sis, you are getting out of this room, you are going to relax and you are going to have fun," Pietro said grabbing her books and throwing them into a bag "And you can't have this back until you have four hours away from the house" Pietro threw the bag to Peter since he was the expert at hiding things. He hides Magneto's helmet at least once a day.
"I'll go to the library" Pietro shook his head "Movies?" Pietro nodded. Wanda sighed as she grabbed her coat. "Fine let's just get this over" Both speedsters cheered as they ran to the car.
"What movie do you want to see," Pietro asked as he pulled out of the driveway. Wanda carefully thought over this before she replied.
"Now you see me" Peter was happy he had wanted to see 'Now You See Me' ever since it came out Pietro was just glad it wasn't another love story.
"Okay we can go out for ice cream afterward" Pietro slowly pulled into the parking lot. Peter tried his best not to show how excited he was, this was his first time going anywhere with his older siblings.
Time skip
"That movie was amazing!" Peter shouted as they walked out of the theater. Wanda giggled at his childish behavior.
"Now is a pretty good time to go get ice cream," Pietro said dumping an empty mega-size popcorn bag in the trash. Peter nodded with enthusiasm.
"How can both of you still eat, you had a pack of gummies, two hot dogs, five candy bars, two large sodas, and a mega popcorn each" Wanda stared at them in shock.
"Super speed equals super metabolism" Peter pointed out as he darted for the car. By the time they got to the ice cream shop Wanda was ready for ice cream,  she didn't get anything other than a drink at the theater to save room.
"Ok one Twinkie and cream icecream with strawberries, whipped cream, and chocolate syrup" Pietro announced as he handed Peter his ice cream "One raspberry cheesecake with chocolate chips and chocolate," he said handing Wanda her ice cream "And one coffee ice cream with chocolate and strawberries," Pietro said before taking a bite of his.
"Okay, I've got to admit this was a great idea" Wanda smiled as she took a bite of her ice cream.
"Hey, Peter did I ever tell you about the first time me and Wanda got Dad to eat ice cream?" Peter shook his head "When he first took a bite he loved it and started eating it way too fast, he got a brain freeze and thought he had been poisoned" Wanda nodded giggling.
"One time I was eating smarties and he thought I had taken drugs so he took me to the emergency room"They each took turns telling stories until about ten then they all went home curled up on the couch and played Go Fish until they fell asleep. Two days later Wanda got a hundred on the test and decided she would start taking more study

Warm feelings
A/N: Welcome back to a new fic based on my incapacity to stay away from obsessions. This new round we all need to thank @saddykar for chutarse an entire friday and weekend tolerating my cries for Eddie. So, here is the ending result of almost six litters of Coca cola, four bags of popcorn and many many others types of chunk food, a bunch of fics I'll be posting with the long part of this week and perhaps the next.
P.D.: this fic is shorter, as well the others will be, but I love them just as much... this fics are my beibis.
Pairings: Steve Harrington x reader.
Warnings: angst (for a while, relax) / fluff / kinda strong language / more fluff.
Synopsis: A year after closing the second portal to the Upsidedown, you find yourself in the limbo, trying to get over the nightmares, going through your last year at school, having to choose what path you'll like to take and between all of that, probably the most complicated part, were the feelings for your friend Steve. And the cherry on top? He was most probably still hung up with Nancy.
////////7u7////////
As we already know, Hawkins is a hunted city, everyone could fall for the quietness at arriving but from then on the days only become longer, weirder and colder. But for you, disappearances, strange noises and red lights coming from nowhere at the darkest of night were pretty common occurrences.
You didn't just survived the majority of the last couple years by pure luck... well, yes, mostly, but because it was like a tradition to be a weirdo in WeirdLand too.
Honestly, the curious part of it all was the fact that you made friends along the way. Now you were part of "The Gang", the secret heroes of Hawkins. Quite amused, quite depressed and with some troubles that every teenager went through plus the knowledge that the unreal isn't as much as you all wanted it to be.
After all the "almost to death" bunch of experiences you've had, the year is coming to an end, you're to decide where you want to study and suddenly the need for money is there at every step, no matter if it is for your own amusement or because you'll be needing it to exist.
That's why you thanked whatever powerful being there is for the existence of Robin and Steve who helped you get into Family Videos and, that was not the best part, it was actually the extra amount of time you got to spend with Steve, your ehm, friend, best friend... the closest like- like the one who you loved and liked and who you didn't totally have a crush on.
And who you totally didn't cry at night to because even if you loved him and wanted to spend the rest of your miserable, imperfect and beautiful life with him, Steve was still hung up on Nancy, who just didn't happen to be probably the only girl he has loved but she was your friend as well.
Your relationship with Steve didn't bloom from day to night, oh no, no, no. You used to hate each other. Him being the rich popular kid at school and you the one who didn't give a single fuck what everyone else thought about you, not wanting to impress, not wanting to fit. So, it was kinda intense when you both got into trouble because one of his fake friends would try to prank you and he tried to help them or because you were each others headaches at class.
At the end, when you helped the kids with their weird friend and had to work with them, as well as the princess of school, you saw him change into a more mature person. You had a change too, don't get me wrong.
Going from the private suffocated being to at least being able to form long conversations, no matter how much they bored you. And trust, much more trust to your friends was thrown their way. Yep, this last year had being something that changed you.
"You should take another path y'know?" Told you Robin, while she unpacked the new VHS and you priced them. "Like... I don't know, Hawkins? For life? For adulthood? Yeah, nu huh, thank you but, I rather swallow a bunch of dicks before staying stuck here... I mean, look at us, this isn't the way we should be spending our youth, our golden years,"
Steve send you an amused look from behind the counter, doing his own task. Your heart didn't went on a running spree like every-time he took notice of you, nah, it actually did a double mortal with a steady fall, 10/10, normal, yep. "Aren't the golden days supposed to be when we're old?" He asked.
"Think we probably are old already," you sighed, getting up from the floor, where you sat two hours straight with Robin, your back making a popping sound that made both your friends chuckle. "Yep, old." Murmured Robin.
"C'mon girls! We still have a lot of years ahead!" You chanced a glance to the tired girl on the floor. "Yeah, let's see... where do you see yourselves from a few years on?"
Both Robin and you groaned, she going back to her duties at taking vhs out the box while you got closer to the counter where Steve was, in search of more stickers for the prices. He reclined on the table, a few inches away from your face. "C'mon darling" you ignored the way your body heated, "I imagine myself in a nice house, not too big, not too small. A good job, maybe one or two kids-"
"More than you already have?" "And- " Steve completely ignored Robin, you didn't dare look at him when he started to talk again, you already knew what he was going to say next. This wasn't the first time he has told you about what he wishes to have when older. "And the woman I love beside me."
Robin was about to start talking again but stoped herself when she looked at Steve, and then you and then again at Steve. "Shit", she thought. Standing as fast as she could she brought the box with her and started walking to the back of the store "I finished this box, I'll go for more! Keep doing your tasks children!" Robin smiled at Steve that sent her a grateful smile, you however looked at her like two tentacles had suddenly sprung from her retreating back.
"The fuck, Robin, there are still like two dozens of-" "I said I'll be back!" She interrupted you, and the last hanging sound was the door being shut.
"Well... if she isn't acting weird then I don't-" you didn't finish your sentence because of the sudden look Steve had, directed straight at your eyes. His brown eyes were heavy with an emotion you have never seen in him, not directed at you at least. "Are you- eh-" you cleared your throat, the computer at his side suddenly a quite interesting machine "you okay?"
Steve didn't answer, instead asked you the same question from moments before, "Where do you see yourself in the future, (y/n)?" He inclined his head, hair falling softly and your heart started a race for winning a price, you didn't know what but it surely was important, your being got stuck in there, the spot where Steve's eyes where roaming your face, warm eyes, soft smile waiting and big hands taking yours, caressing them. You cleared your throat again. "Can-" Steve licked his lips, "Can you look at me, (y/n)?"
Slowly, so slowly, your gaze moved to his face, looking at his lips, and nose, going straight to his eyebrows and then his hair, his stupid perfectly un-combed hair. And finally, finally, your eyes found his and in an instant your cheeks turned red.
Steve's smile widened and his hands tightened yours a little more, assuring himself, and you.
"I'll tell you more about the future I want." His body moved a bit closer, his eyes jumping from both of yours, to your lips and nose and back to your eyes. "I see, this home, warm, maybe a dog or a cat, I don't care. A little garden, three rooms. Two of them for the kids and," his nose brushed yours, and you giggled. Steve's eyes crinkling with the sound, "the last room, sweetheart... Our room." The next thing you know, his lips were in yours, a soft gasping moan coming from you and the sudden pull from one of his hands on your face grounding you from floating away.
Silk lips brushing yours at first, testing if you were okay with this, with Steve Harrington pushing your head to his from the neck, moaning in your mouth and kissing you harder. His lips parting and his tongue darting out. He let out a long pleasured moan when your own tongue touched his.
So, so much for being just a dream. It was enough for you to lock your hand in his, the other finding way on his cheek. Both of you let out muffled giggles that broke the long deep contact but didn't stop you from pecking his lips. "What do you think, hmm?"
Steve didn't let you get as far, his forehead pressed against yours, breathing heavily and leaving small kisses every few seconds on your smiling lips. "I would definitely like a cat." He laughed at that, eyes closing with the force of his happiness. Getting impatient with the fucking counter between you, he jumped over it and dragged you to his body. Arms enveloping you and not letting you move too far, only for his mouth to find yours again. Kissing you deeply.
Now you did let yourself fall on his embrace, moving your arms one around his neck and the other to his back, obliging him to incline his tall frame on you.
Minutes went past, with you against the counter while Steve kissed you, all tongue and teeth, and small giggles, tired laughs. His lips brushing against your jaw, leaving the tingle sensation of love that only the love of your life could mark on you. You stroked his hair and pulled when his lips found in your neck that spot that made you moan near his ear. Steve only letting out a raspy chuckle.
With your body inclining more to his, who started to push you more against the counter, your back arching with the edge pressing to your middle back. Time passed, floating endlessly around you two.
A muffled "Hey... guys?" Was barely heard from behind the backdoor. Between Steve's hands squeezing your hips here and there you didn't hear Robin until her fist slamming against the door made you both jump. "Not me being a bad friend, cutting your moment, which I really hope you are having because I'm tired of both of you whining about the other, but I think I might have, kinda "kinda" locked myself in here..."
You shared a look with Steve, smiles coming into laughs, one of his arms still on your waist, two pair of running hearts and red cheeks. "Could you be so kind to get me out? It's kinda getting hard to breath, I'm not really fond of small spaces, y'know? Yeah, you know... I mean-"
"Coming!" You said and before you walked to open the door, your hand was hanging onto Steve's neck, your lips kissing his. As if something normal between you. It lasted a few seconds but it was enough to leave him breathless when you pulled away, murmuring softly to him, "I love you too, Steve." Proud of the idiot smile you left on his face, you went to open the door.
Turns out you were absolutely wrong, and you have never been more happy about it.

Completely Fantastic
Someone To Stay Ch. 8
Spencer x fem reader
Tumblr media
The next morning you wake up and start packing as you prepare for the drive back home. You take your hair out of the bun you had slept in, leaving it with some long loose waves. You throw on a long, flowing navy and white maxi skirt with a navy tank top and some strappy sandals. You are feeling particularly in touch with your bohemian side after a weekend spent in the great outdoors.
After filling up on a quick breakfast, you grab your bags and head out to the car. You look to Spencer. "Is it okay if I drive?"
He appreciates you asking. No one ever does. They just assume.
"Sounds good!" He tosses his keys over to you. After filling the trunk with both of your bags, you scoot into the driver's side and adjust the seat and mirrors. You may be tall, but Spencer was much taller.
As you pull out of the driveway and make your way down the road, Spencer looks towards you.
"I'm guessing you want music. I don't really have much. If you hand me your phone I can put on whatever you like."
You unlock your phone and hand it to him, smiling at the kind gesture. Seems like he catches on quick.
"Hmm" you think out loud. "Well, I know you haven't listened to quite as much as me so we have a lot of genres to cover on this car ride. We'll start with the 70's and go from there. Just put it my 70's playslist on shuffle. We'll let my phone pick for us."
Gypsy by Fleetwood Mac comes on. A smile of content spreads across your face. You reach into the compartment above your rear view mirror and grab what you liked to call your "John Lennon Sunglasses". They're rosy and oversized and perfect for your current mood. You roll the windows down and let the wind whip through your hair, resting your elbow out the window. Sunshine warms your skin as you listen to the incredibly talented Stevie Nicks.
After a few more songs you ask him to flip to the 80's playlist on shuffle. As Forever Young by Alphaville comes on, you see a look of recognition on Spencer's face.
"Oh yeah, I forgot you were an 80's baby! 80's pop is some of my very favorite."
He smiles and nods. You get it. There's something oddly comforting about nostalgic music from your childhood. You let the rest of the 80's playlist finish, since you both seem to enjoy it.
Eventually Spencer turns in his seat to face you.
"I had a lot of fun this weekend." He states this with a fairly serious look on his face.
"Yeah me too! Is everything okay though? You look like you have more to say?"
He continues, while fiddling with his hands and hair and staring down at his lap. He's clearly nervous.
"It's uh j-just...would you...well would you want to be friends? I know that's p-probably an odd question I just, well I enjoy hanging out with you. Since I don't see you at my uh place of work I wasn't really sure the c-correct protocol for..."
You reach over and squeeze his hand to cut him off, since you can see he's clearly only making himself more anxious.
"Hey" you give him a reassuring smile.
"We're already friends. I think we have no choice but to continue hanging out. I mean, we just get along to well, it's not really up to me" you joke.
The both of you laugh and he seems to relax again. He squeezes your hand back as a thank you. Before you return it to the steering wheel.
"How do you feel about a weekly movie night?"
His eyes light up at the idea before clouded over, clearly thinking it through.
"My job..." he starts before you cut him off.
"I know, Spencer. Don't stress. My job schedule is inconsistent too. I mean, I get my schedule given to me six weeks at a time but, I work different sets of days each week. It's completely random. But that means I have four days off a week so I like our chances. And if some weeks it doesn't happen, that's ok too. You go save lives, and I'll help heal them. It's what we do."
He raises his eyebrows in surprise before responding.
"Oh well you've thought of everything, huh?"
You shrug, trying to conceal a smirk. "Maybe."
He looks to you. "Ok so what will be watching first?"
"Hmm, I'll let you pick first. And we can trade off?"
"Well I don't know how into fandoms you are but... would you mind if we watched some of Harry Potter?"
Usually your face is a huge giveaway to what you were thinking, and not just to FBI profilers. In this instance, you were incredibly determined to keep a straight face and not let on a single thing.
You just give a small nod as you keep your eyes on the road, expressionless.
"Sure, we can do that."
"Ok, so when and where? Or do you have that planned too?"
"Well..." you think for a minute before extending the offer. You don't want to scare off your newest friend.
"I'm free tonight if you'd like. We can unpack and maybe sneak in a nap first?" You glance over to gauge his reaction.
He smiles and nods, on board with the idea.
"Yeah, and I can meet back at your place at 5? Want me to bring anything? The DVD's?"
"Oh no it's fine! I'm pretty sure I saw them on Amazon or YouTube TV..." you respond, still trying to control your face. You really wanted to fool the genius profiler.
Spencer asks to borrow your blanket before curling up in the passenger seat and taking a nap the rest of the way home. It was too adorable. You couldn't help yourself. As you pulled up to a red light, you snap a quick picture of him. You also take a selfie with you making goofy faces, Spencer sleeping in the background.
You gently shake him awake after parking outside of your building. You grab your bags out of the back and wave to him as he backs the car out.
Once in the apartment, you take Juneau out for a quick walk. The dog sitter had given you detailed  updates while you'd been away. You throw your weekend bags in the closet and hop in the shower. After drying your hair, you throw on a Black Borgin and Burke's T shirt and some black leggings and get to work.
It's September which, for you, meant the Halloween decor was abundant. You plug in all of your purple, green, and orange string lights placed all around your living room and kitchen. You light several candles you have scattered amongst your Halloween decor. Your shelves are lined with pumpkins, potion bottles, and various skeleton items.
You pop in your guest room to make sure it looks presentable. You're fairly sure he won't be expecting anything like what he's walking into tonight. On one hand, if it scares him off then it was bound to happen eventually. But if he doesn't mind...well maybe this friend is in it for the long haul.
You grab two butterbeer mugs and set them on the counter next to an assortment of flavored hot chocolate packets. You also set out microwave popcorn and a bowl of Halloween candy.
You decide to do one last thing, really hoping Spencer won't think you're completely insane. It's not long before you hear a knock at the door.
You open it, wearing your Ravenclaw robe and your glasses which just so happen to look a bit like Harry Potter's.
Spencer's brow wrinkles in confusion before he starts laughing.
"So I'm guessing you've seen Harry Potter before!" He says after finally catching his breath.
"Ummm..." you smile and just take his hand pulling him through your apartment till you reach your guest bedroom.
His eyes widen as he looks around at all your Halloween decorations. Before he can comment he's standing speechless in the doorway.
He looks around to see a completely Harry Potter themed guest bedroom, filled with creatures, books, wands, and more.
"Yeah Spencer, I've seen the movies" you finally say, letting out a laugh you've been holding back.
He looks stunned. "How did I... but you..."
"Yeah I'm usually pretty bad at hiding things so I have no idea how I pulled this one over on you. Aren't you supposed to read people for your job?" You joke with him, nudging his side with your elbow.
He's still just standing there, eyes wide, taking it all in. He walks over to the book shelf to flip through what you have.
"You have the potions book?...the maurader's map?...even the Quibbler?"
You just shrug, smiling as you watch him look around.
"So you don't think I'm completely crazy?"
"I think you're completely fantastic!" He blurts out, blushing a bit after he says it.
You bite your lip as you say " I may or may not also have the movies on DVD in 4K...to watch on my new TV."
He steps back into the living room to see where the two of you will be spending the rest of the night.
"Oh, this is going to be perfect!"
He takes a moment to finally take in the complete explosion of Halloween across your home.
"I hired Jack Skellington as my decorator" you snicker, making fun of yourself a bit.
He turns to you, eyes wide once again. "You like Halloween too?" He reminds you of an eager little kid with the look on his face.
You answer him with an eager nod and a grin.
"Y/N, I think it's pretty clear that we were meant to be friends! Where have you been all my life?" He laughs.
You don't know why, but you feel yourself turning red at hearing this comment.
You prepare some hot chocolate and popcorn for the two of you while Spencer sets up the Sorcerer's Stone.
"Oh I almost forgot, I brought something!" Spencer pulls something out of his sweater pocket. He has handfuls of Ghirardelli chocolates.
"Are those Rossi's? From the trip?"
"I have know idea what you're talking about." He states with a smirk as he plops down onto the couch, tossing you one. You lean back against the opposite end, leaving you room to both stretch your legs out and share a blanket.
You try your best not to quote the movie that you know by heart, but you just can't help it. Then you look over and see Spencer mouthing along with the lines. You give him a small kick under the blanket.
"I bet you could do a one man show of these movies, Mr. eidetic memory." You giggle.
"From the looks of it, so could you. We could take our show on the road. We'd make millions."
The two of you burst into a fit of laughter. With Spencer, you're always smiling.

Movie Nights and Pillow Forts. (Hournite)
Tumblr media
Summary: The team has a movie night and Beth and Rick share a pillow fort.
Warning: None
Categorie: Fluff
Read notes at the end.
The week had been hectic for the new JSA, fourteen tests collectively, a fitness gram in Beth's gym class, six late assignments for Rick, and sleep deprived Courtney and Yolanda were not having any good times. And that's not even mentioning the ISA and their mysterious plans.
Pat tried to take it easy on them during training, his parental instincts telling him something was wrong.
As they walked into Pit Stop for their training session on Friday, they found the training room to be void of equipment. No half made puppets of the ISA, no punching bags or targets to aim at.
The team gave Pat a questioning look and he explained himself.
"We're gonna try something different. You guys have had a hard week and over exerting yourselves isn't helping anyone out in the long run. So you're gonna take it easy for today."
"Thanks dad," Yolanda and Rick joked.
"So what are we going to do?" Courtney questioned.
"Just some easy team building excercises. You all have to feel just as comfortable being together as you do being apart."
"We do," Beth defended brightly, but shrunk at how everyone stared at her. "at least, I do."
"Yeah, no thanks. Team building excercises? This isn't summer camp and I'm not three." Rick stated.
"Be nice, Pat's just trying to help." Beth chided.
Rick rolled his eyes but complied.
"So what did you have in mind?" Yolanda requested.
"Well, just something easy, hopefully that you'll find fun. Get you guys a little de-stressd."
"Pillow forts!" Beth exclaimed.
"I'm sorry, what?" Rick turned to her.
"Pillow Forts. I never had any friends to make pillow forts or have sleepovers with, but they always seemed super fun to make." she explained brightly, not even realizing the sadness in that statement.
Rick's heart hurt at the underlying weight of the words she didn't even realize was there. He understood what it was like to feel alone. He wanted to reach out and hold her hand but he didn't.
Courtney smiled at the girl and said, "I think that's a great idea, we could build them together as a team-"
"And Chuck could project a movie while we're inside. We could totally have a sleepover." Beth proposed.
"And where are going to get pillows to make the forts, this is a car shop not a mattress firm." Yolanda brought up.
"Pat can go home and get stuff." Courtney offered.
The team looked to Pat, the girls had pleading eyes and Rick looked plain uninterested.
"I don't see why not." Pat said.
Smiles took over the girls' faces and Courtney highfived her friends.
"Ooh, and I could get snacks from my house. Just get on comms and tell me what you guys want." Beth offered. "Of course, if you're willing to drop me off, Mr. Dugan." she said sheepishly.
"Sure, kiddo."
"Yay!"
"Okay, well, let's get going. Court, I'll tell your mom you're staying over at a friend's house, the rest of you call your parents and let them know you'll be out."
"It's fine, my parents probably won't even notice I'm gone." Yolanda grumbled bitterly.
"Same here," Beth chided. "They work at night a lot now that I'm older."
Rick stayed silent, wondering if his uncle would come home at all that night. Not that he'd bother to check on the boy.
"Okay, well be back soon," Beth smiled, grabbing her goggles our of her bag and running out the door to catch up with Pat who had already gone outside.
The three teens stood in silence for a bit before Courtney and Yolanda started looking for good spots to set up their fort.
"Don't forget comms," Courtney reminded before turning hers on.
Yolanda and Rick followed her example and were met with Beth's voice.
"Alright, we're almost at my house, what movie were you guys thinking of watching?"
"Umm, we're not really sure, what can Chuck play?" Courtney replied.
"He can do anything really, oh wait, okay, anything but badly done historical drama or science fiction. He prefers something more accurate."
"But isn't the entire point of both those genes the fact that they're dramatic and fictional?" Rick queried.
"Chuck says some stuff just goes too off the charts. It's more the inaccuracy that irks him. What about something from the 80's, that's always fun. Maybe something like The Breakfast Club, or Heathers." she proposed.
"Nah, not Heathers. That Kurt guy was a real asshole." Rick chided.
Courtney and Yolanda turned to him in confusion, surprised he knew anything about the dark teen drama.
Rick simply shrugged his shoulders.
"Okay, we're at my house, gimme a minute while I look for my keys. Be right back." Beth said before their connection cut out.
"Kurt was an asshole?" Yolanda prodded
"What?" Rick defended. "Beth told me a bit about the movie."
Courtney snickered.
"You shouldn't say profanities around Beth. It would be a shame if her Prince Charming was a bad influence."
"What's that supposed to mean?" Rick interrogated
"Nothing," Courtney shrugged before giving Yolanda a knowing look.
"What?" Rick pushed.
The girls only shook their heads. He was about to say something else when Beth came back online.
"Hey guys, sorry, I kept dropping my keys. What do you guys feel like. There's a ton of chips. And some chocolates. Ooh, I found a huge bag of candy from Halloween. It's still closed!"
"Uh-" Courtney was interrupted.
"Popcorn is a must." Beth added before the sound of something being placed in a bag took over the coms.
"Are you just taking everything?" Yolanda asked.
"Pretty much, yeah." Beth confirmed. "And Pat shouldn't be back for another fifteen minutes so I should have time to grab some pajamas."
"Oh, that's smart. We're just going to be sleeping in our school clothes." Courtney stated.
"Actually, I have some clean gym clothes in my bag, a few shirts and a couple pairs of shorts. You can borrow some." Yolanda supplied.
"What about you, Rick?" Beth spoke.
"It's fine."
"No, come on, we're all gonna have something to wear. I'm sure I can find something, or maybe Pat can get you some clothes."
"It's okay, really."
"Nope, too late, I already have clothes for us."
"How are you so fast?" Courtney wondered aloud.
"I'm magical." Beth joked.
Rick almost said 'yes, you are.' But pushed that thought down to the furthest reaches of his soul.
"Maybe something scary?" Yolanda said.
"I'm not a huge fan of scary movies." Beth replied.
"What about a rom-com?" Courtney offered
"No way." Rick opposed.
"How about Twilight." Courtney said.
"No!" Rick and Yolanda exclaimed in unison.
"Harry Potter?"
"We don't stan JK these days." Beth expressed, earning a nod from Yolanda.
"How about a mystery movie?" Rick proposed for the first time.
"I'm unopposed." Yolanda declared.
"Me too," Courtney agreed.
"Okay, I'll if there's any mysteries Chuck reccomends. He says he likes Clue." Beth provided.
"Sounds good." Courtney replied
"Yeah, sure." Yolanda answered.
" M'kay," Rick added.
"I'll be back, I need to get the rest of my stuff."
"Rest of your stuff," Courtney began. "I thought you had everything, what else are you-"
"Bye guys!"
"-getting?"
Courtney quickly shrugged it off before guiding Yolanda to once again look for a place to set up their pillow fort.
Rick leaned against the table behind him until Pat and Beth got back a bit later.
The short girl came in wheeling a suitcase behind her.
"What do you have in there?" Yolanda was first to question.
"Food, clothes, nail polish, some toiletries, pillows, blankets. Just the basics."
"Isn't Pat already bringing blankets? That might be too many."
"We're making pillow forts, is there ever such a thing as too many blankets?"
"That's fair." Courtney input.
Pat came in, sliding a cardboard box against the floor.
"These are some covers we never unpacked and I have pillows in the car." The man announced.
"This is going to be so much fun." Beth proclaimed, opening her suitcase and pulling out five blankets. Two pillows that had been shoved inside sprung out and we're grabbed by the girl. "So, where are we making these?"
"Court and I decided we'd have a place over here," Yolanda pointed to a corner below the stairs. "And we would tie some of the blankets up and let them hang down and then we could space the sides out with the stools."
"Nice," Beth complimented. "How about you Rick?"
"Umm...I don't really know how to make a pillow fort." He stated plainly.
"Oh, that's okay, I can help you. I read up on it during the ride back."
Rick nodded his head curtly before standing up straight and allowing the girl in front of him to lead the way.
With arms crossed over his chest, the boy listened intently to Beth as she rattled on about all the different ways and places they could put up the fort. He felt strangely giddy at the amount of excitement in the girls voice.
The two settled on a spot next to Courtney and Yolanda, choosing a similar approach to the construction of the fort. Beth ran up the metal stairs and instructed Rick to toss up a blanket. She tied two of the ends around the rails of the walkway and repeated the steps until the fort had four 'walls'.
Beth ran down to Rick, who was tossing pillows inside the fort, taking an excited look at their creation.
"And for some added structure," the girl grabbed two foldable chairs from across the room, dragging them to the fort, placing them inside. She moved one back until it, and the fabric covering it, met Courtney and Yolanda's stool. She then moved the other side approximately the same distance on the side parallel.
Beth emerged from the fort all smiles. Rick embraced the slight smile that made it's way onto his face when he saw her ecstatic expression. She raised her hand to highfive him which he awkwardly returned.
Pat had sat watching the kids build their forts, happy that they were having fun, but stood when he realized it was getting dark.
"Okay, I'm gonna head home. Please, keep everything in one piece. And Court," Pat gave the blonde a pointed look, " the staff comes home with me."
"What?" Courtney, who had built her fort with the help of the staff, asked caught off guard
"Yes. I'm going home and it needs to come with me. It had to go back in its box for the night. I'm glad the two of you..." he struggled to find a word," bonded. But it needs to go back home."
"But Pat," Courtney groaned.
"No 'but pat's, it needs to go back home." he stated softly.
Courtney looked at the glowing stick that levitates next to her. She pouted, but moved her head in Pat's direction, signaling the staff to go with him.
"See you tomorrow," she told it.
"There's a mini fridge and a microwave in my office. Remember, one piece. Night kids, have fun." Pat chided as he walked out the door.
"Goodnight Mr. Dugan." Beth called.
When he drove off, the teens sat in silence before Beth spoke up.
"I'm gonna go heat up some popcorn. There's snacks in my bag and Rick, I brought some clothes for you to change into."
"Thanks." he said as she tossed a large t-shirt and pair of pajama pants in his direction.
Beth went into Pat's office to make to popcorn as Courtney and Yolanda settled into their pillow filled heaven, wrapping themselves in blankets and waiting for Beth to get the movie started.
Rick went in his fort and decided he might as well change into the clothes he was given.
He had just reached for the t-shirt when he heard the fabric pulled back.
"Sorry, sorry, sorry." Beth cried and turned away when she saw Rick was shirtless.
"It's, fine, what's up?" he asked masking his blush by pulling the shirt over his head.
"Um," Beth flushed. "I was just wondering if you wanted any popcorn. She said shaking the bag in her hand.
"No, I'm good, thanks though."
She simply nodded before uttering,
"Chuck's gonna start the movie soon."
"Kay."
Beth shuffled off to give the girls popcorn. Entering the tent she was greeted by Courtney and Yolanda saying, "Hey," in unison.
"I have popcorn." Beth sang.
"Ooh, yay." Courtney praised.
"Give," Yolanda said, making a grabbing motion with her hand and smiling happily.
Beth gladly complied, handing the bag over to the girls.
"I'm gonna get Chuck to start up the movie. Don't eat all the popcorn without me, I'll be right back."
The two girls nodded, grinning, and opened the popcorn.
Beth left the fort and got her goggles, placing them over her eyes.
"Ready Chuck?"
"Indeed."
"This is going to be great!"
Beth took off the goggles and pointed them at the wall across from her, gently placing the goggles on the floor as the opening credits began projecting on the wall.
She rushed back to the girls' fort and stepped inside to see Courtney trying to throw popcorn into Yolanda's mouth.
"Okay, it's on." Beth announced, loud enough for Rick to hear as well.
The girls moved closer to the opening of the fort and peeled back the opening to watch the movie.
They watched lazily, sometimes shifting to find a better way of sitting. Courtney and Yolanda carried on their own conversation as Beth painted Courtney's nails listening to the movie in the background.
As the girls waited for their nails to dry spoke to eachother lowly as to not disturb Rick next to them.
Beth lightly tapped her nails to see if they were dry and Courtney and Yolanda shared a teasing look.
"Do you think he's lonely over there?" Yolanda asked Courtney, just loud enough for Beth to hear.
"I'm sure he's fine." Courtney continued
"I don't know, maybe someone should check on him?"
The two turned to Beth with a knowing look.
"I'll do it," she offered immediately. "Yeah, it's not right for him to be all alone."
She rose from her position and stepped over pillows to leave the fort. She quietly walked over to his fort, hearing Courtney and Yolanda's quiet giggles behind her.
The front Rick's fort was a little open. Beth walked to the side and pulled the blanket back.
"Knock, knock." Beth spoke
"Hey," he greeted.
"I thought you may be lonely. Well, Court and Yolanda thought, but I wanted to see if you needed company. So I can stay. Only if you want me to of course." she rambled.
"Yeah, sure." Rick responded softly, scooting over and patting the spot next to him. She gladly entered and took her place next to him.
Her legs were crisscrossed and she twiddled her fingers, appreciating the glittery polish on her nails.
Rick turned to her, a smirk on his face.
"Thanks for making this with me," he gestured to the fort around them. "It was...surprisingly fun."
"Told you." Beth gloated, bumping her shoulder to his.
"Yeah, you did." Rick said under his breath as he gazed at her. He admired her eyes, the way the light reflected off of them. Rick inhaled sharply before taking a leap of faith.
He draped his arm across her shoulders to test the waters.
She quickly moved closer and laid her head on his chest. A wide smile graced his face, she didn't notice though, focusing all her energy to prevent the blood rushing to her face. She failed.
They stayed in that position until the movie ended.
Rick was half asleep by the time the credits finished rolling. He was snapped awake by Beth moving from her position and making a move to leave the fort.
"Where are you going?" He whispered.
"I'm gonna change then go to sleep in the girls' tent. And of course say goodnight to Chuck."
"Oh," he responded, trying not to let his disappointment peek through. "Okay. Goodnight."
"Night." she smiled and left the fort.
Rick frowned but perked up just a bit when her heard Beth's sweet voice say goodnight to the goggles. He thought it was adorable how much she cared about the AI in those goggles.
He layed back and tried to fall asleep but soon realized it was much more difficult when Beth wasn't in close proximity. He ran his fingers through his hair frustratedly and tried to build up enough courage to just ask Beth to stay with him that night.
But he quickly found he didn't have to. As if the universe heard him, he saw Beth cautiously lift up the opening of his fort.
She looked sheepish as she met his eyes.
"Courtney and Yolanda are hogging all the space inside. Would it be alright if I could, maybe, stay here. It's up to you." she questioned quickly.
Rick nodded his head as apathetically as he could, when on the inside he was absolutely thrilled.
Beth slowly stepped into their fort. Rick made note of the oversized black t-shirt she wore that fell over her light green pajama pants.
She layed down facing the opposite direction as he did, but bot could still feel the body heat radiating off the back of the other.
"You know the reason Court and Yolanda sent you over here was probably so they could have the tent all to themselves." Rick stated.
Beth thought about it for a minute before letting out a sigh of relief.
"Oh, thank goodness. I was worried they were getting tired of me. Phew."
"Why would they get tired of you?"
"Everyone does at some point. Even if it's just for a little bit."
"Hey," Rick said darkly. "I'm never gonna get tired of you. Ever. Not even for a little bit. You understand?" He asked with a seriousness yet softness she didn't see often.
She nodded her head, hoping he could understand the gesture even if he wasn't looking at her.
Beth moved back until she made contact with Rick. Their backs were pressed up against eachother and they both found comfort in the warmth of the other.
Beth lay frozen, worried about if Rick was okay with the contact, but her worries were soon relieved when she felt Rick's hand reach for hers.
They interlocked their fingers, still not looking at one another, before they both fell into a peaceful sleep.
...
Rick woke up to light streaming through the covers of the fort and the sound of giggling.
He looked to the source of the noise to see Beth and Yolanda holding the blankets open.
"What?" He asked groggily.
They only giggled more.
That's when he registered the weight that covered half his body. Beth was practically on top of him, her face snuggled in his chest.
Rick's eyes widened and his system was shocked awake. He heard Courtney smack her hand over her mouth to muffled her laugh at the sight of the boy.
"Pat's going to be here in half an hour. We need to take everything down." Yolanda supplied.
Rick nodded his head tiredly and the girls walked away, letting the blankets drop behind them.
Rick gazed down at Beth, angry with himself for liking their position so much. He groaned internally as he tried figuring out how to wake Beth up.
He gently tried to move her off of him, laying her just beside him.
"Beth, you have to wake up." He tried softly, lightly shaking her shoulder.
She groaned, but complied, blinking several times.
"Pat's gonna be here soon, we have to start taking everything down."
Beth frowned.
"But it's Saturday, can't we just stay here for a few more...hours?" She proposed.
Rick chuckled softly at her question but shook his head.
"It's already light out, my uncle probably knows I'm gone." the boy grimaced.
"I wish you could just live with one of us."
"Yeah me too," he whispered.
Beth propped herself up before crawling out of their fort.
Rick followed and saw she was heading up the stairs to untie to blankets. He saw the pout on her face as she undid the knots and watched the sheets fall to the floor.
"You know, maybe we can do this again sometime?" Rick called up, smiling when he saw Beth perk up.
The team worked together to undo everything and neatly organize their pillows and blankets. They all decided to change back into their clothes from the day before, Courtney and Rick returned their borrowed clothes.
Rick helped Beth stuff everything back into her suitcase and they finished just as Pat arrived.
"Hey guys, how was your night, good I hope?" he questioned.
"We had a really great time," Courtney confirmed. "Thanks for coming up with the idea, Beth."
"No problem, I always wanted to do something like this." the girl smiled.
"You guys ready to go?" Pat asked.
"Yeah, we're all set." Yolanda said.
Beth just nodded happily.
"Help me get everything in the back." the man directed.
Once everything was done, the girls began piling into the car.
"Rick, you coming?" Courtney asked.
"Oh, nah, I'm just going to walk home."
"You sure kid," Pat verified.
"Yeah, I'm sure."
"Aw, okay, talk to you later Rick," Beth came over and gave him a quick hug before retreating into the car.
Pat drove off and Rick waved goodbye to the girls.
The boy turned and made his way home. As he walked, he thought of his interactions with Beth. He couldn't explain the flutter in his stomach when he saw her excited, or how naturally comfortable he felt by her side.
One thing he did know though, was that Beth made him happy. They could do anything from sitting in silence at lunch, to fighting crime, to sleeping in a pillow fort.
One thing was certain, Beth Chapel was a wonder, and Rick was all there for it.
The End.
Okay, that was my second hournite fic, i hope you liked it. I'm super lazy so i didn't edit it, so if there are any errors please let me know. I'm not sure if anyone picked up on the reference I made when Rick said Kurt Kelly was and a-hole. For those who didn't know, Cameron Gellman played Kurt Kelly in a television adaptation of Heather. I just thought it was something funny to throw in there. If you have and comments or criticisms, let me know in the comments. I sound like a YouTuber, lol. I hope everyone has a great day and if anyone has any prompts they'd like to see, let me know. That's all for today💕💕
Sincerely, Tessa.

“What the heck are these?”

I was sitting on my bed writing part of my essay when there was a knock at my bedroom door.
"Come in!" I shouted at whoever just knocked on the door.
"Hi!" My fellow housemate Brad said as he entered my bedroom. "How you getting on with that essay we've been assigned?" He asked.
"Perfectly fine, why?"
"I'm stuck, I have no idea what to write!" He plonked himself down on my bed next to me and peered over at my laptop.
"If this is your idea of trying to get me to help you write your essay or copy mine, then you can fuck off Simpson!" I spat.
"Hey! There's no need to be like that. I just wanted to see what you've written about and then hopefully it'll help me get started on mine!" He smiled.
I rolled my eyes. "Alright. Go on then!" I turned my laptop to face him and he glanced at the screen.
"You've written almost four thousand words already?"
"Yes, I started writing this as soon as we got assigned it! Plus we've only got a week left until we need to hand it in so I wanna get it written so then I can get people to proof read it for me!"
"A week?... Shit! I better go get my laptop and get started! I'll be right back!" He raced out of my room and soon returned with his laptop and some snacks. He then sat next to me again.
"How am I supposed to write a five thousand worded essay in a week?" He asked.
"You type with these!" I wiggled my fingers at him.
"That's not helpful you know? I hate the coursework side of things, I much prefer the physical!"
"C'mon, I'll help you! I much prefer the coursework side of things!"
"But you just said you don't want to help me? And is that because you just sing in the shower and always ask to do the physical part in front of just our lecturer?"
"Well, you're being nice to me today so I'll help you! And you've heard me singing in the shower?"
He scowled at me. "I'm always nice to you! And yeah, I have! You're really good actually!"
"No you're not!" I got a piece of popcorn out of bag, then threw it at him and it hit him right in the middle of his forehead. I laughed. "And thanks, but my singing isn't as good as yours!"
"Instead of throwing fucking popcorn at me, can you actually help? And awww, thanks!"
"Yeah, c'mon on then!"
******
"Um, can I use your toilet please?" Brad asked.
"You have your own, use that!" I spat.
"But yours is closer and I can't be bothered to walk to mine!"
"Your bedroom is literally just on the other side of that wall!"
"Please, I'm bursting!"
"Fine, go on then!"
"Thanks!" He wondered off into my en-suite and I read over what he'd written for his essay.
"Ugh!" He shouted in disgust. "What the heck are these?"
I went to see what all the fuss was about and saw him holding a box of tampons. I instantly burst out laughing.
"Well, what the fuck are they then?" He asked disgusted.
"They're tampons Brad!" I paused. "Wait why are you going through my stuff?"
"Well, I saw you was running low on toilet roll. So I thought I'd be nice and replace it for you but then I found these instead!"
"You know you could've just come and asked me where I keep my toilet roll?"
"Yeah, but I didn't think of that did I?" He paused. "Um... Y/N where do you keep your toilet roll?"
"In the cupboard next to where you just found the tampons!"
"So I was close then?" He opened the cupboard and got a new roll of toilet roll out and replaced it.
"Did you even go for a wee?"
"Yeah, then I tried to find the toilet roll to replace the old one, but got sidetracked by these wried looking things!" He got a tampon out and investigated it. "They're so wried looking!"
"Yup!" I laughed at how interested he was.
"Does it hurt?"
"Does what hurt?"
"When you like, um, you stick it up there?"
I burst out laughing again. "Oh my god! Did you seriously just ask that?"
He looked at me confused.
"Oh, you seriously want me to answer that?"
He nodded. "Er. Yeah?"
"Brad I'm not fucking talking about how it feels to insert a tampon with you!" I walked back into my bedroom and he followed, bringing the tampon he had just opened.
"Why not?"
"You really wanna sit here and talk about inserting fucking tampons do you?"
"Yes! If we're both being one hundred percent honest, then yeah, I think I do actually!"
"Oh my god!" I shook my head.
"So!" He began. "Can you answer my question now?... Does it hurt, when like, ya know?"
I threw another piece of popcorn at his head.
"Just answer the question Y/N!"
"If you really wanna know, then yeah, sometimes!"
"Wow. I'm glad I don't have a vagina!" He smiled.
I face palmed myself. "Fucking hell!"
"Surely shoving a tampon up there is the equivalent of a male shoving his you know what up there?"
"Oh my god, bye!" I grabbed my laptop and left my room.
"Where you going?" He called.
"I'm not having this talk with you!" I called back.
"Alright, fair enough!... I'm sorry!"
I just simply ignored him and continued on with the rest of my evening.

Someone To Stay
Original story by fairytales1896
Spencer x fem reader
8. Completely Fantastic
